Childrens Museum of Stockton http://www.stocktongov.com/childrensmuseum Free day Sunday Jan.9th!! 12pm-5 $5/person Under 2 is FREE!

California State Railroad Museum http://www.csrmf.org This museum has great reviews and was home of the Polar Express ride my family took this winter. If your kids love trains this is a must see. The second floor has train tables for kids.Adults $9 Youth $4 Under 5years old FREE.

Bay Area Discovery Museum http://www.baykidsmuseum.org/ I went to this museum this summer with the boys and they had a blast! It is worth the trip to Sausalito, especially on the first Wednesday of the month because it is FREE! So January 5th is the Free day this month. Huge area with things inside and out. I promise you will love it:) Children $8 (1-7) Adults $10

Western Railway Museum: http://www.wrm.org/about/visitor_center.htm#electric This museum was brought to my attention by my best friends mom, Nancy. Sounds like a fun place, especially the train rides. I like that you can ride the trains as much as you like!

Preschool story times week ending 1/8/11 (Library)

Ripon Branch Library has Preschool Story time Jan. 4th at 10:30am. 30 minutes of stories, song and dance. Every Tuesday

Tracy Branch Preschool story time Jan 4th at 11:15am. 20 minutes with craft and an extended playtime afterward.

Manteca Branch Preschool Story time at 10:30am Jan.6th 20 minutes with craft and an extended playtime afterward.

Escalon Branch Preschool Story time Jan. 7th at 10:30am approximately 30 minutes and often includes and age appropriate craft.

Activities for week ending 1/1/2011 and 1/8/2011

If your child likes to dance than this is a great place to hit up and it's FREE! In Stockton there is a little cafe called The Blackwater Cafe and from 5-6pm on Wednesdays (12/29/2010) they host a cute band called, The Afternaps. Barnes and Noble in the Tracy Mall is having story time from 11am-12 on Thursdays (12/30/2010). All ages welcome.

Classic Gymnastics has open gym on Thursdays from 8:45am-10am for babies that are walking up to 5 years old. $5 for members/ $7 for nonmembers. Please note they are closed for the holidays until Jan. 3rd. http://classicgymnastics.net I have taked the boys here numerous times and they love running and bouncing down the long trampoline, bouncing up and down on the round trampoline, playing with the foam squares and hula hoops! Great way to burn energy:)

Go Bananas in Lathrop is great fun for your kids of all ages. Many of you already know about this fun place but if you haven't been there in awhile check it out, they recently remodeled. It's $7 but you can find a $1 off coupon on their website on the contacts page. http://gobananasnow.com/

Sutter Hospital in Tracy has a Parent and Me Playgroup but they are closed this week. I will post more about them next week when the reopen.

My first post!

First of all if you are reading this, Thank you! Second, let me tell you why I decided to start this blog. I am always looking for something to do with my twins that will hold their attention longer than 5 minutes. I was surprised to find that there was not a local website to help me see all their is to do in one spot. This blog is going to be very fluid and hopefully evolve into a place where you can all go to find a fun activity to do with our children. If you know of or find a fun place please share it with me so I can add it to the blog. Now let the fun times begin.....
