Some pictures from our adventures so far this Spring/Summer

The boys have also started swim lessons through the city of Tracy. Here Ryan is jumping in with the help of his teacher and the other one is Connor kicking and trying to swing his arms as also.

We also signed up for the summer movie pass through Tracy's Cinemark 14 theater. It's a great way to get the boys used to sitting in a theater and I don't have to worry that we are disturbing anyone because it is full of kids! Here the boys are with their first tickets! We have yet to make it through and entire movie, but I am hopeful that by the end of July we will! Movie theater popcorn has been the one thing that keeps them in their seats the longest.

Go Bananas is always a hit! It's not normally as busy as the second picture shows. I think this was when we were having all the rain. Connor is going down the smaller slide head first in the second picture.

Here are some from Classic Gymnastics. Boys LOVE the rope drop into the foam pit!

Here are a couple from the gymnastics class through the city.Love Coach Peggy!

Here we are Blueberry picking at Jessop farms in Ripon. Open until end of July so make sure you don't miss out. When you first get there they have a small putting green and a sandbox area with blue sand! We froze our blueberries and just used some for blueberry pancakes on Sunday, yummy! http://www.jessopfarms.com/U_Pick.html

Have you checked out your cities Activity Guide?

The city of Tracy has a great Summer/Spring Activities Guide http://www.ci.tracy.ca.us/departments/parks/activity_listings/ Earlier this year we did the soccer classes and the boys seemed to really enjoy themselves. I started the parent/tot gymnastics class offered through the city last week and it is great! Coach Peggy is wonderful and patient and the boys love it!
We are doing swim lessons towards the end of this month and I am so excited they are old enough to do it without me getting in the water with them!!

Grand Re-Opening of Classic Gymnastics

Last Friday I took the boys to check out the new expansion of Classic Gymnastics here in Tracy and it looked fantastic!! Classic Gym was hosting a special event that local moms groups including the San Joaquin Mothers of Twins Club coordinate that collects books and pajamas for local children in need. It was a great success and many children now can snuggle in bed with their new pj's and a book!

The boys LOVED the new foam pit but were not quite ready for the swinging rope to drop right in. There was also face painting and a clown doing balloon animals but the boys would not go anywhere near any of that. I thought for sure they would love the balloon animals since they love balloons but alas the clown was the downfall:) So they just ran around like the crazy boys they are under and over everything. The trampolines were a hit as well as well as the hula hoops. Classic gymnastics is a great place to burn off some of that toddler energy!

Tracy Celebrates Sandra Cantu's Birthday

Today Sandra would have turned 10 years old. In an effort to celebrate Sandra's life and memory her family created, "Celebrating Tracy's Children". From what I have already read from news reports on the internet, Sandra's family loved seeing all the children out today laughing, smiling and having so much fun. My friend Renee and I were able to get out with the little ones to a couple of the events today, the Fire Station to check out a real Fire Truck, and the Yogurt shop to have a cool treat. The day was a great success and a wonderful way to honor beautiful Sandra's memory. Here are some pictures.

Story time at the Tracy library

Connor
That is the back of Ryan's head on the left:) Seriously this is the best story time. The librarian doing the story time is FANTASTIC! She is so animated when she reads the stories that it really helps keep the kids engaged. She reads about 4 books and after each story she has the kids get up and dance around and release some energy which is great. At the end they all get a stamp on their hands and sent on their merry way. I had to wash Ryan's hands when we got home and he was so upset when he notices that his stamps were gone:( Story time is at 10:30 and 11:15 on Tuesdays.

The Afternap

This picture is from a couple of weeks ago when I took the boys to Blackwater cafe in Stockton to see the afternaps. (Wednesdays from 5-6pm) I know it is a bit of a drive but if your kids like music it is so fun for them. My only issue is that the leader singer does not always show up. So the rest of the band kind of wings it. I don't know about your kids but mine are not the "wing it" kind of kids. They start to get bored and run around and I get annoyed and frustrated trying to keep to toddlers from running all over the place exploring. So I would just call ahead and ask. You can also "like" them on FB and ask if she will be there. I have a really cute video of the boys doing some dancing there but I have to figure out how to uploading it:)

Fun at Gym Stars in Stockton

This foam pit was great and HUGE! Ryan spent a lot of time over here. Renee said at the end she saw Connor go up to the edge, turn around and fall in backwards...that doesn't surprise me at ll, crazy boys!
This is my friend Renee with her daughter Frankie. Great job Frankie!
This swing was crazy fun! The boys went on it about 5 times!
Connor on the slide
At the end they did a little dancing and brought out this parachute. It was fun until Ryan thought it was a great time to start pushing every one over:( Not cool but a teaching moment for him.

So I highly recommend this place! It was $6 to get in for an hour and a half of good times. There is also a bounce house but those pictures were all blurry. Hope to see you there soon. gymstars.com
